Against the Waves

Standing atop the podium at the end of her competition on the most prestigious platform of the international stage, with the gold wrung around her neck, Yip Pin Xiu stands as the most singularly personified statement of a champion. Against all odds and despite her disability, she beat everyone else in her competitive category to put our country on the world map, along with our anthem being played, the whole country stands proud behind her.
